This website collects and uses personal information for the following reasons:

a) Site visitation tracking

Like most websites, this site uses Google Analytics (GA) to track user interaction. We use this data to determine the number of people using our site, to better understand how they find and use our web pages and to see their journey through the website.

Although GA records data such as your geographical location, device, internet browser and operating system, none of this information personally identifies you to us. GA also records your computer’s IP address which could be used to personally identify you but Google do not grant us access to this. We consider Google to be a third party data processor (see section 7below).

GA makes use of cookies, details of which can be found on Google’s developer guides. Disabling cookies on your internet browser will stop GA from tracking any part of your visit to pages within this website.

b) Our Blog

Should you choose to add a comment to any posts that we have published on our blog, the name and email address you enter with your comment will be saved to this website’s database, along with your computer’s IP address and the time and date that you submitted the comment. This information is only used to identify you as a contributor to the comment section of the respective blog post and is not passed on to any of the third party data processors detailed below. Your comment and its associated personal data will remain on this site until we see fit to either 1) remove the comment or 2) remove the blog post. Should you wish to have the comment and its associated personal data deleted, please email us using the email address that you commented with.

c) Email Links

Should you choose to contact us, none of the data that you supply will be stored by this website or passed to / be processed by any of the third party data companies defined in section 7. Our servers are protected by SSL, meaning that the email content is encrypted using SHA-2, 256-bit cryptography before being sent across the internet. The email content is then decrypted by our local computers and devices.

4. How we store your Personal Information

As detailed in 3 b above, if you submit a comment to a blog post published on this website some personal information will be stored within this website’s database. This data is currently stored in an identifiable fashion.

5. About this website’s server

This website is hosted by Shopify, who uses a content delivery network. A CDN is a large network of servers placed across the world to ensure we can load our website store quickly. The Shopify CDN is operated by Fastly, one of the most reputable companies.

All traffic (transferral of files) between this website and your browser is encrypted and delivered over HTTPS.

6. PCI Compliant

The Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS) is an information security standard for organizations that handle credit card and debit card information. Defined by the Payment Card Industry Security Standards Council, the standard was created to increase controls around credit card data to reduce credit card fraud via its exposure. Shopify meets all 6 categories of PCI standards.

7. Our Third Party data processors

We use third parties to process personal data on our behalf who have been carefully chosen and comply with the legislation set out in section 2. These third parties are based in the USA and are EU-U.S Privacy Shield compliant. Google (Privacy policy)

We may provide links to other websites, services, and applications, such as Facebook, that are not operated or controlled by Malavara (the "Third Party Services"). The policies and procedures we described here do not apply to the Third-Party services. While we attempt to facilitate access only to those Third-Party Services that share our respect for your privacy, we cannot take responsibility for the content, privacy policies, or practices of those Third Party Services. We encourage you to review and understand the privacy practices of any Third-Party Services before providing any information to or through them.

The Services also may include an activity feed, social media buttons and widgets, such as the Facebook "Like" button or the "Share This" button. Your interactions with these features are governed by the privacy policy of the Third-Party Service that provides the feature.

Our websites and mobile apps do not knowingly collect personal data from children under the age of 16. If you have reason to believe that a child under the age of 16 has provided personal data to us through our websites or mobile apps, please contact us, and we will endeavour to delete that information from our databases.
